Shaping is incredibly fun to teach; however, sometimes
the mechanics of getting started may be daunting. While
completing a behavior is very exciting, the real thrill
is the process itself. From the first glimmer of understanding
to the light bulb fully on, each step is a joy to behold.
With shaping, your timing and creativity will improve,
you will become better at recognizing small approximations
and learn how and when to raise criteria--or when not
to raise criteria, when to try something different,
end a particular session and when to keep going.
You and your dog will become a more close-knit team

Thanks for "The Magic Of Shaping Explore The
Possibilities." I had a mild intro to clicker
training, but when my German Shepherd refused the
dumbbell I was not about to go to the ear pinches,
etc. used by my club with this sweet girl. I sat with
my clicker and treats and free shaped the pickup in
two short sessions. This DVD has opened up so much
more for me to do with my own dogs as well as to introduce
into my classes (and hopefully in time change the
attitude of so many of my club members). It is so
great to have a "thinking" dog. Thank

DVD last night, and I am sooooo in love with Darcy!!!!
I was blown away by what your bullies have learnt.
I was so motivated by watching the DVD that I wanted
to wake my dogs up (at 10.30pm) and start straight

I am a behavior junkie and always want to improve
my shaping skills. I got this video hoping it would
teach me something I don't already know and was
not disappointed. Everything is broken down into
tiny steps (just like any good shaper) and even
if you've never done shaping before you could be
well on your way with this video alone. I thought
this video was fantastic and gave me LOTS of ideas
for creative things to work on with my dogs- something
I'm always looking for. This is a must have for

Positive Motivation Dog Training facility in Belvidere,
New Jersey. It was produced exclusively for educational
training using shaping. Pamela is well educated in
the use of this venue as a positive training tool.
She brings wit and knowledge into your home.
Training that is available in this video would
cost hundreds of dollars at a facility or private
training. When I brought the raw footage home, I
just could not justify cutting anything out. Enjoy
